2)    Official Affirmation of Philoptochos Board after the service. Ministries Sunday: Come and learn about all the programs available through our Church, Philoptochos, Little Angels, HOPE, JOY, Jr. GOYA, GOYA, YAL, David and Georgia Pereira Church School, Rev. Nikiforos Fakinos Hellenic School, Golden Years, Volleyball, Basketball, Olympics, Pins for Pauly and much more. Register the youth, enroll in the events and bring Christ’s fellowship, that is so much needed in our lives.

Wednesday, September 17th, Saints Sophia and her daughters Pistis, Elpis and Agape (Faith, Hope and Love), Orthros and Divine Liturgy starting at 9 am.

Saturday, November 15, the Grand Opening Glendi with renowned artists Evangelia and Zan Batist. Enjoy a delicious dinner at Terrace on the Park, with Manhattan views, and a great value. All proceeds will be directed towards the expenses for the furnishing of our Constantine and Carol Cassis Center.

Please, support the 2025 Grand Opening Journal, a historic edition, which will include the names of families and businesses who will provide a donation for an add. THE CHURCH

The Greek Orthodox Community of Saint Demetrios in Merrick, New York was founded in 1961. On December 1959, under the guidance of the late James (Demetrios) Boulukos a meeting took place with the intention to establish a parish in the South Shore of Long Island.
